Loconte on MSNBC and CNN

Colorado Springs, CO, July 23, 2012 – Author and Professor Joseph Loconte’s profile continues to grow as interviews and articles bearing his name increase. Loconte’s recent press spike is charged by the June 5 release of his newest book, The Searchers: A Quest for Faith in the Valley of Doubt (Thomas Nelson, 2012). The Searchers muses on the pursuit of truth in the modern world of disillusion and the ultimate destination of that journey – Christ.

On July 10, Loconte appeared on MSNBC to discuss The Searchers with “The Cycle” co-host S.E. Cupp. Loconte spoke with the self-professed atheist about the frustration searchers of truth often have with the organized church and intimated his belief that the church isn’t evil, but vulnerable to human greed and lust for power.

The Searchers received a flawless review from Christianity Today on June 16. It also caught the attention of Eric Metaxas, New York Times bestselling author of Bonhoeffer. “Every once in a while a book comes along that is so elegant and beautiful and vital that you can’t imagine the world without it,” he said about The Searchers.

Other media hits include an appearance in The Wall Street Journal on June 29 with his article “They Preached Liberty”. On July 15, Loconte shed faith-based light on the tragic situation concerning Jerry Sandusky and Penn State University in “My Take: Penn State’s Dark Fellowship,” an article for CNN. On July 20, he dialogued with Amy Holmes on Real News in an interview titled “Aurora Shooting: Faith and Evil.” Loconte has more on the horizon; in the coming weeks, look for a book review by Loconte in The Weekly Standard as well as a video interview and article about The Searchers on the CNN website and finally an appearance on “His People” broadcast on July 27 on the Pilgrim Radio Network show.–JK/lk
